Collection Status Setup
A Collection Status is the reason for a collection procedure (effort to obtain payment).
Examples of Collection Status reasons might be disputed charge, bounced or returned check, or sent to collections.
To add a collection status, complete the following steps:
- Go to the Accounting Overview page.
- Click the Accounting Setup page hyperlink. This opens the Accounting Setup page.
- Click the Add icon located on the collection status child form.This opens the Add - Collection Status pop-up window.
- Enter the name of the collection status in the collection status field.
- Enter a short description of the new collection status in the description field.
- Click the Save button.The new collection status has been added to the collection status child form and is now available in the Collection Status drop-down menu in NetForum.
Tip: It is a good idea to expand the collection status child form prior to adding a new collection status in order to make sure the collection status you need has not already been created.
